Denial

Good afternoon, friends!
This is a subject that is very hard to discuss.  In fact I have been in denial about writing about denial.  According to Merriam Webster's free online dictionary, being in denial is defined as "refusing to admit the truth or reality of something unpleasant."
Until I started blogging about my Cerebral Palsy, I was in denial about my condition, and who I was. Putting my struggles out there, the true and not so pretty ones, has helped face my truth.  I will have moments where those negative thoughts return, but your kind words are a boon to my spirit, and I have and will continue to read your encouraging comments when I need a smile, rather than a frown.
Getting out of denial one step at a time.

  1. It's always hard to write about stuff, because it makes it even more real somehow. I'm glad you're writing about it though, I'm sure it will be very therapeutic for you!

Thanks for you sweet comment earlier. Hope you have a beautiful day!

  2. Denial is such a difficult thing to overcome. But God grants us strength and endurance just when we need it. Writing about personal struggles is a very healthy thing to do. And sharing on a blog has the added benefit that something you write will encourage someone else too.

Thank you for sharing and keep it up! God is using you, all of you, to help others. Blessings.

  5. Hi Regine; I'm glad you found my blog. It's lovely to hear from you. Denial, a big subject! I have struggled with it much, first in regards to depression, then in regards to FM. It varies from day to day. I find it so helpful to write and to art journal. God helped me throughout my depression helping me to realize that I am more than my disease. I pray God helps you too Regine.
    Hugs and blessings
