Thoughts.

I miss the days of snail mail. I long for it.

  1. I really miss the days of snail mail too. We just don't get that many personal notes and cards in the mail any more. That's why I continue to send them. And when I get something, I'm smiling all day. : )

  4. This makes me think of Christmas cards, I get fewer every year and send fewer.

  5. A handwritten letter is so special. I've saved quite a few over the years.💟

  6. It's such a joy to get a hand written note. I miss it, too... and don't get me started on the lack of sending or even handing a thank you note! Argh!

  7. Snail mail is basically a thing of the past now, I can't remember the last actual letter I received.

  8. Have you ever heard of Swap-bot? It's a large group that enjoys getting and sending snail mail. Basically your pick what item you want to send (postcard, handmade art, small gifts, letters, etc...), receive a partner to exchange with, send your item, and receive a item from your partner. You decide how much or how little you want to participate, and what kind of mail you want to send/receive. Each swap you are assigned a new partner, you can even swap internationally if you want. I'm totally addicted and get at least one item in my mailbox every week. I love Swap-bot! Check it out.
    Cheers!

  9. Yup, me too, but I try to write my family once a month and my daughter once a week. I sent my sister a homemade card once a day for over a year, and I got pretty burned out. There's nothing more exciting than getting real mail, though.
