A shot and antibiotics- oh you must have felt awful. I sure hope you are on the mend and that you get lots of R & R. As for books, I would recommend Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. Also the Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. Those are both older books- if you like thrillers (I do), I just read a good one called Darkrooms by Rebecca Hannigan. I have not watched any really good movies lately or I'd give you a rec. Also, I haven't read a magazine in a long time though I do like them! Feel better- sending hugs!
We watched Ever After and Princess Bride with our granddaughter yesterday. It was storming all day and that was a perfect thing to do in the camper. Blessings and hugs, Betsy
a am not a reader but i do enjoy a really good movie. one we watched recently with sally fields was "remarkably bright creatures...it was so good. also we did not think we would like but watched and really enjoyed was "marty supreme". it was free on hbo, you had to pay on netflix. my 2 all time favorite movies are "the fault in our stars" and "five feet apart"!! and of course "the notebook" best love story ever made!! feel better!!
Those are 3 good words: on the mend. I'm reading Hidden Valley Road by Robert Kolker. I wouldn't describe it as uplifting but I think it's very interesting. It's non-fiction, about an American family who had 12 children, but 6 out of 10 of their sons had schizophrenia. If you have access to Netflix, then I recommend watching the first two seasons of Derry Girls. It's hilarious. The third season is not as good.
I'm so glad you are feeling better. I just went to "The Sheep Detectives" which is absolutely charming and for all ages. My book post went active today. Keep resting and recover!

Be sure to have kefir or yougurt with probiotics to replenish your gut. 😂 I guess that is a funny thing to say.
