My weekend was very relaxing and didn't consist of doing many exciting things. I did do a few fun things with the family like pickleball, shopping and going out to dinner. We grilled out last night and everything was really good! Nothing is in my cart and I am smiling at being at home. Don't plan on going anywhere and that is making me smile. I hope your cold goes away quickly!!
It was a nice weekend with grandkids and church. I made a crockpot meal called fiesta chicken and it was yummy! I just ordered a timer for our sprinkling system for my hubby. I'm heading out for some fun with my sister. Hope you feel better soon!
We took a nice ride on Saturday with our son to see an interesting place, which I will write about later this week. Sunday morning was church and then a Celebration of Life for a dear 93 year old lady Sunday afternoon. What did I cook? Hmmm, good question...I did bake a peach dump cake to take to the reception following the Celebration of Life. Our ladies in the church provide a meal for the family and friends. What's in my cart? Currently nothing. Just bought some ground beef and lettuce at the local grocery store. Hubby wants a meat loaf tonight. What is making me smile? Hopefully we are going to get more rain today and tomorrow. We need it so badly. I enjoyed the questions and your answers. I do hope you get over your cold quickly. Summer colds are no fun. Well, colds are never fun, let's face it! Please take care of yourself and get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids. (((HUGS)))
I'm sorry about your cold and hoping it's over soon. Here's my list: What did you do this weekend? -- yard work and a very fun dinner with friends. What did you cook? -- Brownies, salmon What’s in your cart? Not a thing! What is making you smile? A gorgeous day and upcoming travel anticipation.
A quiet weekend then, but sometimes that’s exactly what the body needs. Rice is a solid choice, simple and dependable. Frugality has a way of sharpening what really matters, even if it comes from necessity.
We set up our new tv since our old one decided to die last week. Also went to a few galleries to see some art and ordered sushi. Take care and feel better soon.
Hung out with my kids and grandkids. Nothing, we all went out to eat. Nothing. I always buy right away. Hearing my grandkids laugh. Hope you have a great week!
What did you do this weekend? Coughs and colds are in the house too so didn't go anywhere. I hope you feel better real soon.
What did you cook? The cabbage, potato and sausage soup which lasted us for all our weekend dinners. Breakfast one day I fixed poached eggs on toast. This morning I had a multi-wheat bagel spread with cream cheese for breakfast.
What’s in your cart? Earlier there was a packet of chicken thighs, Lemonade, two cans of soup, bananas, berries and a loaf of Pepperidge Farm Sourdough.
What is making you smile? Visiting you and answering these :)
Went camping, grilled burgers, and cooked one dinner over the campfire, I have bookmark tassles in my cart, as well as a cookbook, and solar lights, flowers make me smile, as well as completing a homemade anything. Hope you feel better soon.
Hubby had gig/daughter home for one of them/Hosted our first Sunday Funday of the summer Meatballs, Pesto Pasta, Salad, Berry Cobbler Nothing right now Trip planning..
