I’ve been cranky lately. I have the ability to feel the pain, but work through it is progress.
Life isn’t glamorous. No European sojourns. No shopping sprees.
That being said is I’m grateful for the ability to move at all. I’m grateful for healthy food.
I love a good book. An unexpected gift. A prayer said for me.
I love you all.
Love yourself and one another
We all get cranky sometimes, and good for you for finding the things to be thankful for in the middle of it!
ReplyDeleteI get cranky too, especially when I'm hot. I understand. You're not alone. Thankfulness is important when feeling that way isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Being uncomfortable makes a person cranky. It is a frustrating feeling. (hugs)
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better my life isn't feeling very glamorous at the moment either. Instead of traveling this summer, I'm spraying weeds, taking my mom to doctors' appointments, cleaning house and other super fun stuff like that. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to not concentrate on what we can't do anymore and of course all we see in the media is what is good in people's lives and not the pain they are dealing with so that doesn't help. I am with you in trying to concentrate on what I can still do and be thankful, hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteExactly. Guess what. Cranky is allowed. We don't stay there indefinitely and shouldn't but sometimes you've just gotta go there!
ReplyDeleteReading is my part time job. I love a great book. I always think, "At least I'm not sick." When things aren't going well.) Unless I'm sick, then nothing makes me feel better.
ReplyDeleteWe love you, too!
ReplyDeleteStay strong
ReplyDeleteFinding the things we can be grateful for can make all the difference. Glad that you've been able to work through the pain. Definite progress and I bet it's making your stronger :) Stay strong dear Regine <3
ReplyDeleteIt takes real strength to acknowledge feeling cranky and still choose to focus on gratitude. It is wonderful that you can appreciate the simple yet profound joys like the ability to move, healthy food, a good book, and unexpected gifts. Feeling loved and sharing that love with others is what truly matters. I am sending good thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are feeling "under the weather" and cranky. That is perfectly understandable. We all have times like that. Sometimes it helps to just go ahead and have a good cry and get it out of our systems and then we can start over. May God give you comfort and peace of mind and bring little joys your way, like a good book and those unexpected gifts. I know for me, when I feel down, if I start to count my blessings I soon realize that life is better than I thought. Sometimes we just gotta acknowledge the pain and hurt and then start moving forward again. (((Hugs))) to you today.
ReplyDeleteSending lots of good wishes to you.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
