Do your part

This post may not be popular. Last week I did something I thought I would never do again. I actively participated in our democracy. I have become so enraged yet full of despair due to America's division and lack of civility. This is not a political discussion, because that notion seems nonexistent. I just urge you if you feel this nation is worth fighting for, do your part.

  1. I'm a Sicilian who lives in the UK...
That's my choice, and just how my life
has worked out..I'm interested in politics,
and the ways of the world, especially the USA.
We ALL realise you have a very BIG problem
over there...TRUMP...What can one say about
an evil, lying~~~~~~! And, he has even been
    accessed by Psychologists..He's 'MAD'...!
    AND..I'm surprised he's 'still' alive...!

  2. I'm of Italian/German descent living in the U.S. and I'm appalled that there are people who are willing to ruin a man's life on unproved accusations.

Our President has done more good then any president has in years.

I for one am thankful to God that the Unborn have a hope of being protected now.

If anyone is believing the liberal media then they are being deceived.

  4. Regine, I'm afraid this post may become a pro Trump vs anti-Trump. I can see it starting already.
I will do my part by keeping our President and his staff in prayer. That's what a Bible believing Christian should do. I would do the same if Mrs. Clinton had been elected.

If you feel the discussion is getting heated, you have every right to delete the post altogether.

    2. Regina, thank you for your calm, collected words. I think that things would be much more civil if each person thought about, and prayed for others. (And I think any type of prayer would do...Christian or non).

    3. Thank you Regine for your loving and graceful reply.

So many are quick to judge intent.

I will stand for the unborn no matter what as the Bible tells me, and of course pray, that is doing my part as I'm sure you too would agree.

Thanks again Regine, I appreciate your heart.

  5. Here in the US, we have a media who are eager to encourage division and hysteria in every way possible.

Many people here seem to have lost their critical & independent thinking skills. They seem satisfied to ingest & accept the agenda driven crap that is spewed by the media (and "celebrities") on a daily basis. They look to the media to educate, not to inform. We have stepped over the line of common sense.

I think we are circling the drain, Regine. Please pray for our country.
If it were not for my strong faith in God, I would be in a very dark place.

    1. Same here Chris. I would definitely be a mess. I know there are many Christians praying for our country and the President. God does hear our prayers.

    2. I'm also reminded of a song we sang in church back in the 80s written by I believe Jamie Owens Collins called The Battle Belongs to The Lord. Such a powerful song!

I don't remember that song, but will find it somewhere.
      Thank you :}

  6. We are indeed in a time of great political divide and we must act if we want to change things. I've started making donations to the ACLU.

  10. for the first time in my life, I worry about my country. I grew up in the era where women did not speak up when raped or harassed. The fact that people in power now want to go back to that makes it hard to live daily. I pray for decency and accountability on behalf of leaders.
