I've been grinchy. I've not been in the Christmas spirit. I've not been in the Jesus spirit. I've had a pity party. I've had a comparison is the theif of joy battle. And the Biblical principles I try to remind myself of are a momentary salve not a permanent balm. I'm having to remember the covenant I made with Him is a lifetime commitment.
Bless your heart. I will be praying for you!
ReplyDeleteLike the Grinch, "The thief (devil) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Or, "more abundantly," as it says in the KJV. John 10:10
Praying for you! God bless, Net
Prayers for you Regine! Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Eph. 6:11
ReplyDeleteSometimes we have pity parties. I guess it's how long we stay there that makes the difference. Be you, full of love and heart. And be as kind to yourself as you are to others.
ReplyDeleteHang in there Regine. And like Jeanie said, be kind to yourself.
ReplyDeleteMy Dear Regine,
ReplyDeleteRemember that you are only human, with a multitude of human emotions.
Each will pass in time and you will survive 💮
Hugs ❤
A prayer for you Regine …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Things will get better soon. XOXO
ReplyDeleteFeel in better spirits soon. I get like that when I am overtired.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is entitled to moments when they're not perfect. The key is to acknowledge the issue, then set it aside.
ReplyDeleteI think everybody has such phases in life ... all the best to you!

Last year at about this time, I was feeling quite the same way. One of our sweet neighbors posted on Facebook that he was feeling Grinchy, too. He asked to exchange Christmas cards with whomever would like to do that. I joined in and got busy MAKING Christmas cards. It was so much fun. Thinking of ways to brighten someone's day pulled me right out of it. Having said all that, cards need to be created for this year. I better get busy! ReplyDeleteEven though I left that really long comment, I have something else to say. ;-) A wonderful little book has my brain buzzing with ways to share within our neighborhood, trying to work out an idea that might become a small gift for everyone. Here's my book review in case you are interested.

Comparison is a thief of joy indeed. We all have our own path to follow. Don't be hard on yourself, we all have our moments of doubts.
ReplyDeleteVery honest. I hope you start to feel better soon, and get in the spirit! Have a great Thursday!
