Humbly, thank you

Some things about me
I hate asking for anything.  If you'd like to send me anything, I'm more than grateful and thrilled.
I love trying new restaurants.
I despise trying on clothes.
I love buying books.
I read the newspaper daily.

Thank you friends
for loving me
supporting me
and giving me
Hope that good
overcomes the pain
the self-induced disdain
for self
Thank you
for being the love
i couldn't give
i am grateful
and humbled
Thank you for
the gift that keeps
giving me a reason
to continue
in spite of disappointment

  2. NICE poem. Except that I don't read the newspaper daily (hate how it feels but love the info) I am like that too! Happy Wednesday. Hugs-Erika

  3. He is lovely isn't he? I say he because there were 2, he was the brighter of the two as is usual in the bird world, the male is more colorful. I "think" it is a red finch. I have not seen the pair since then. He posed so pretty quite a while, thank you for stopping over and leaving a comment Rue.

  6. Clothes shopping? Only when I have absolutely no choice. Newspaper? Not much. Just depresses me. Restaurants-now you're talking. Life is a challenge and some days more than others but still worth it.

  7. We are all a bit complicated in the make-up of our personalities but this is what makes us an individual...our likes and our dislikes.

We are born and we develop...one size does not fit all.
You are a Blessing because you care about others but more important you care about yourself, too.

    God's Blessings Always~

  11. It's nice to know a little bit about you, Regine. I don't like trying on clothes anymore either. But I still love new clothes haha. And I like trying new restaurants as well, especially when they turn out to be good ones. I used to not like asking for anything either, but I came to realize that that's what we are all here for, to help and serve.

    This is a sweet post.

  13. I find that it's very hard to find modest clothing in stores so I just won't try anything on. A lot of clothing is just to revealing for my tastes!
I love trying different restaurants and different coffee houses.

  17. This is simply lovely -- and I love learning more about you, too. We have lots in common -- books, restaurants and hating to try on new clothes. Sometimes I even hate to try on my old clothes too! And yes, I've found the blog world tremendously supportive and that makes all the difference in the world when things are especially challenging. I'm glad I found you.
