The fields
Are where
Nature
Teaches
Us humans
Who’s boss
For every weed
Picked
It seems another
Appears
Farm work
Might cleanse
My soul
But tests
My mind
With every
New step
I take
When the work
Is done
The shower
Rains down
On tired bones
And who knew
Cold water
And lavender soap
Would make
Me feel
As if
The lottery jackpot
Was mine
At last
Lovely
