God's prodding or prompting

This topic has been swirling in my mind since Sunday.  Our pastor preached on the Beatitudes.   Blessed are the pure in heart...and Blessed are the peacemakers.  He was explaining how the pure in heart follow the letter of the law to a T.  They are perfectionists.  Let just say when the truth hurts, I squirm, but I didn't deny the truth.  He said perfectionists are usually miserable, and toughest on themselves.  This hit home for me in so many ways.  I am a perfectionist, and am my own worst critic.  The good news is that we have seen perfection in Jesus Christ.  What a great joy to know that God through his Son Jesus has welcomed the pure in heart and peacemakers and calls them blessed.
I am blessed!  Love to all!
God Bless,
R

  1. I don't know if this is my place to say anything sense I don't have the same religion as you, but in my oppinion perfection is in the eye of those who's looking for it. Is so easy to see perfection in nature, in fashion, in arhitecture... Just sayin'

  2. I am a perfectionist too...but less so as I get older. I seems with the Beatitudes the Lord has given room for all of us to find a way to receive his blessings.

  3. I am my own worst critic too! It's much easier for me to confront myself than others. But this is a great thought! Jesus was the only one who was EVER perfect. We may strive for perfection, but we will never reach it. God has sent Jesus for us though, and He is enough!! :) Have a great day!
