"We are all sounding boxes of the pains of others because we are interconnected. Being complete and at the same time components of a larger whole, we can change the world by simply changing ourselves. If I turn into a center of love and kindness at this moment, perhaps, even if to a limited extent but not altogether insignificant, now the world can dispose of this nucleus of which it was devoid of moments before. This benefits me and others. " Jon Kabat-Zinn
Our associate pastor posted on the church website about showing kindness to others. He challenged us to ask the Lord who we can share an ecouraging word to. Regine I think you and our pastor were thinking alike this week!
I sent my reply to quickly. Here are my ideas for showing kindness
Send a card Call a friend Offer to pray with someone who is in need Have tea or coffee with a friend Offer help to a new mom Offer to babysit a married couple who need to have a date night There are others but those come to mind.
Kind people are rare to find! Yesterday, on the crowded train, nobody gave way to my mother, almost eighty years old! Horrendous !! That's Amore 🌼🌼🌼 Blog
Sometimes we can be kind with little details like helping someone, treating people with respect and talking nice words, sharing our knowledgke, etc.. xx
A smile. A thoughtful action -- often unexpected. Not leaping to conclusions. Trying to see the other side before reacting. Random acts to friends and strangers. Listening.
Sometimes it's just a smile, sometimes it's doing something nice for someone else. It's not that hard to be kind.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
It starts with being nice!

I try to be polite to strangers and hold the door for them. I always appreciate it when people do that for me!
ReplyDeleteIt would be amazing if people would just keep that thought in mind.
