This takes me back too many years, I remember coming home drenched from school and being wrapped up and sat in front of the coal fire, whilst my gabardine raincoat was put to dry beside me over the fire guard! It was "just" dry for the next soaking day. Hugs Faith x
I've been reminiscing too, mostly about the Summer days as a kid running around the neighborhood, building forts, playing with Barbies, and eating water melon. : )
We never had wellies, in fact even now dont, but guess Oz is drier.. but dud jump in puddles not bec over them! 😆😅 Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love safe and well. Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz. X 7
What a fun memory of childhood you've painted. I pulled on my rain boots this morning to feed the neighbors' dogs. No puddles to jump in. But worrying about catching something is on all of our minds again, isn't it?
Wish those were the only concerns I had these days!
ReplyDeleteNot getting too wet and catching a cold were never among my concerns ;) Puddles are still fun :)

Imagine the chaos catching a regular, good old-fashioned, cold would cause in the current climate!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could escape to those simpler times now...
Oh, I can remember. What a nice memories.
