Pride

 Today’s lesson

No matter

How much

We don’t

Want to

Ask for

Help

Help

Is what

You get

When you

Get tired

Of battling

Your pride

  1. There was this story about a little boy trying to lift a rock. He did it with his mum's help and was not happy because he couldn't do it alone although he did his best. But his mum told him that sometimes doing your best meant asking for help. I love this story.

  2. So true! Almost every day I'm apologizing to the Lord for my prideful thoughts or motives... ugh. Great post.

  6. I spend much of my time surrendering to the Lord. Pride is a wall that hinders forward progress. Realizing we need help tears that wall down. you are blessed.

    Hugs and Blessings

  7. Psalm 121:1-2 "I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth."

  8. I find it hard to ask for help and pride is a part of that. there is also the question that I feel that other people are more deserving/need it more. When I do, I am amazed at grateful at what is so generously offered.

  10. I find it difficult to ask for help too, it means so much though to the giver and receiver.
