Winter white snow

 Whipping wind

Chilly frost

Winter

approaching

To cleanse

Earthly realms

and wipe

with wet

white ice

a note

to step back

handle

with a delicate finger

and let nature

take the lead

Then the powder

comes as

a calming reminder

of living

in the moment

kiss my lips

caress my skin

and leave me

Not as you

found me

Such a virgin layer of snow looks magical.

  20. I prefer sun and sand to winter snow. But it is pretty for the first 15 minutes it is falling, then I want it to go away.

  24. It rarely snows where I live. I don't miss snow too much since I grew up with it but your poem brought the joy of snow back to me.
