 Thoughts

Writer’s block is here. I keep writing anyway.

Kicking sugar addiction is rough. I crave it. Any suggestions?

Trying to decide what to splurge on for my birthday. Nothing is catching my attention

I’m cranky. Also trying to limit processed foods.

If it seems like I’m complaining, I’m sorry.

Love yourself and one another

  2. If you get away from sweets you'll soon not crave them. Eating one thing that's sweet and you want more and more.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. ♥

  3. My husband is diabetic, so I cook sugar free as I can, and we have to moderate or eliminate a lot of rice, potatoes, white flour, corn based anything, pasta etc. For a sweat snack, I mix creamy peanut butter (made with peanuts only) and greek plain yogurt. I mix it up and put it in the fridge, then later in the day I slice an apple to dip the mix with. Good, more protein, less fat, etc. I bake all my breakfasts with eggs of somesort, or we do steel cut oats. No cereal. It's hard to do, and yes he will sometimes sneak a candy bar home ha ha! For the most part we cook from scratch.

  4. Kicking over any addiction is rough - and sugar is a sneaky one.
    Good luck.

  6. I am addicted to sugar too. I know when I stop anything sugary that two weeks is going to be the length of time to stop craving sugar. But, it is worth waiting for. You can go right by..see...smell...watch others with it and you are unaffected. This is actually written about on occasion by those who have credible knowledge. If worse comes to worse during those two weeks a mere teaspoon of honey will do.

  7. We all get blocked. Sometimes we get cranky; sometimes not. It will pass. Trust me. (I'm trying to cut sugar too -- so far, still eating fruit but no cookies!)

  8. We all have day's when we think the world is a'gin us, Regine. Can't help with the sugar withdrawal, apart from praying.

  9. Are you trying to change too many things at once?

  10. I had to give up sugar many times through the years for health reasons. While in the process of it all, I snacked on other things.....oatmeal with bananas and pecans, fruit, pancakes with just a little butter, fried tortillas with a little butter and cinnamon. And the list goes on. It's hard, but when we have to do it, we improvise. Hang in there. : )
