Dear friends,
I hope you are all doing well!  Your words of encouragement are greatly appreciated!  They lift my spirits!  I wonder if some seasons he puts difficulties in your life to teach to you or to bring you back to Him.  I wonder if these trials make us stronger.  I am an internal pessimist.  It is so difficult for me not to think the worst.  I write all the Bible verses and positive posts because I need a daily, if not hourly reminder of how good life can be.
My mantra ought to be:  Don't be afraid to ask questions because of shame.  I am not stupid.  I am human, not perfect, not Jesus.

Fear

I like to think we all suffer from this malady.  I have let fear consume me lately.  Drastic change and an exodus from the familiar have been met with fear rather than with hope.  I have to remember as my devotional tells me that God ordained our every day.  He decides my steps, my life, my death.  As the Addison Road song says 'I'm going to let my little light shine.'

What is summertime for you?

Change

The thirties are proving to be one of change.  Yesterday, I ate a restaurant by myself.  It felt weird to have no one to sit across the table from me.  I may see a movie by myself this weekend.  Any suggestions?  Change is scary, Change is good.  Pray that I can embrace change, and lean on Him when my human understanding is compromised.
