pride

All I can say is thank you for all the prayers. My previous sentiments in a prior post that I just deleted was too angry. I’m having to accept situations and circumstances I don’t like. I’m doing what I detest. I’m doing God’s job. Mighty horribly too. A friend’s comment yesterday reminded me of something so true. I need to be offline more. I no longer know what is true anymore. I don’t know if it’s true, half truth or outright lie. And I don’t want ponder such nonsense that doesn’t improve lives, but furthers a narrative. It’s not just famous folk. It’s every day you and me’s that want to be something we’re not.

Bringing me

Back to

Earth

Planting me

In humble

Apology

For my haughtiness

And pride

I guess

That sermon

I thought

Didn’t apply

Sure did

It only

Took an

Angry diatribe

To realize

  1. Good words and good advice in being offline. I find it's also not good for me to listen to lots of news or media. It can make me so irritated!

  3. Very wise words to all of us. I try to stay away from the news as it only causes stress. We check in to make sure the world is still spinning and then off we go. Life is just too short to get caught up in all of the diatribe and downright lies that are often spewed. I enjoy seeing God's beautiful world outside my window and in the smiles and eyes of the people around us. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful rest of your weekend.

  4. Being connected through media of all kinds is a test in finding the goodness and filtering out the rest. We want to stay informed, but need a good, sturdy foundation of our own truth and values to absorb it all. Also, we need faith that all is as it should be and maybe a lot of it doesn't apply to us individually. We do what we can to make this world a better place and leave the rest to a higher authority. You always share your goodness and faith with us and in that way, you are doing your part. Sending love and blessings your way. xx

  6. Enjoy some no online time. I try to take at least a couple days a week away from the computer especially facebook.

  7. Such a good reminder to all of us. Only God's truth is really the truth. And how will we know His truth unless we spend more and more time with Him? I need to do this more.

  9. I think you're on the right track. I had to learn a lesson on I'm not God a while back too. Pride's an overwhelming enemy without our Savior.

  10. I am thankful for the chastening of the Lord as written in Hebrews 12. It is to train us to share His holiness. A heart of confession and repentance will yield peaceful fruit of righteousness. Thank you for sharing this poem. I fight my pride daily!

  11. News I don't watch at all lately because it s all misery what you read. It makes me angry and sad at the same time. I am always positive and what makes me aggressive I prefer to avoid, although sometimes this cannot. And I am not so often on the Internet, especially not in the evening. Than its me-time. Only a few hours a day to see if there are any comments on my 2 blogs and my Yt channel. That's what k have and nothing more. Don't have internet on my phone either and I don't need it. You can't get anywhere or people are on it watching. Just contact is more important to me. Only god knows the truth what is real news or fake. Don't care what others say because those are people who don't know what is going on in your mind. Those people are deficient in words and are guided by others. Enjoy the day and do what you want to do and be proud of what you are doing and have already accomplished. Greetings, Tine
