On a brighter note: What is making you smile today?

Truth part 3
Thank you for all your support these past few days. I am truly grateful. All my life I have been sensitive about my condition. I have tried to pray it away. For years. That is not the reality. I have begrudgingly acknowledge that to be understood, I will have to let people in to my world. I have resisted that for the most part. I’ve given faint glimpses. When I let the curtain open, I didn’t fully know what to expect. In real life I’m not the greatest communicator, because that’s what I have chosen for so long. I’m seeing that doesn’t work these days. So in order to be understood, I am trying to understand, myself. It’s a learning curve. Please bear with me. Thank you again for your love and support. I am truly grateful. Love to you all.

Hope your Saturday is good!
ReplyDeleteYou are brave and honest. That is important. And at least on the blog, always kind too. What is making me happy today? Seeing the sun shining and having a whole day ahead of me to do something I want to do. It's all about the little things, right? hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe sun is shining and grandaughters coming for a sleepover after so long.Hope your weekend is good

Love to you too, Regine.
ReplyDeleteWhat is making me smile today?....decorating the house for Christmas. : )
Hope today is a good day for you. I am smiling today because the sun is out, I got a video of one of my granddaughters, and after I vacuum I will be crafting.
ReplyDeleteEvery day has it's woes. You are a warrior and you do have a heart of gold. Remember that. What has made me smile today? I made myself one blueberry muffin..and it turned out to be just what I needed to get my Saturday morning started...💕🤞🍂
ReplyDeleteWishing you a day of all good things!
ReplyDeleteIn order to understand others, perhaps one must first understand oneself - that's a great truth!
ReplyDeleteAll the best!

Dearest Regine,
ReplyDeleteAre you ALONE, no partner...?
You never write about anyone other than yourself so it is hard to determine that.
For sure you are not alone in dealing with serious health issues but others, like myself, opt not to vent it. CKD stage 3b (due to my biking and being muscular) instead of stage 4 is not easy. Especially the sleeping is rough.
Three of our immediate friends are dealign with CP, so we both are familiar with that.
Aside from personal issues, I'm also the caregiver of my husband with his serious heart issues. We treasure each day as a new GIFT. Positive attitude helps a lot.
Hugs,
Mariette
My friends from our country who are in other parts of the world right now, amazing how our communication did not stop.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day and take care of yourself.

I love that you share your truths, and yourself, here on your blog! It's a brave thing to do. And it makes me smile to read your words.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that sharing some of what you're going through has helped. I know it has for me in the past. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
ReplyDeleteI share a lot of things on my blog - but rarely the trials and tribulations of my condition.
This morning I am smiling because Jazz has agreed to take his tablet and it is raining. Soft, gentle rain.
You make me smile. But also the beautiful day and our oldest daughter is stopping by for a late lunch on her way to a music venue.
ReplyDeleteSunshine, Precious feeling better, Chinese lunch just for me on a short trip out.
ReplyDeleteLikewise, darling! We're all in this together :)

I read to catch up parts one and two. I appreciate your candidness, your non-faltering faith, and the truth of which you state. You're a warrior. You can deal with it all thru God. Even if there are questions of his life destiny for you, you find strength! That I admire.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a really good communicator, we do feel like we know you through you wonderful words and poetry.
ReplyDeleteYOU make me smile! You have such a sweet spirit and you shine the Light of Christ!
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you :)
ReplyDeleteWent back to read the other posts I missed. Just want you to know that I think you are amazingly courageous and strong. I am very impressed by you and humbled by your honesty. May the Lord continue to give you strength for each new day. You are a blessing to many. Thank you for being here.
ReplyDeleteLittle things, little things make me happy. Because someone who does not know how to enjoy the little things will not appreciate the big ones.
ReplyDeleteBest regards 🙂.
I was away and missed the last 2 posts so had to go and catch up. I'm glad you shared. I think you are amazing and I appreciate your testimony.
ReplyDeleteToday I am thankful for sunshine today!
Please keep telling us your story. It is compelling.
ReplyDeleteHope your Saturday is good!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day, stay strong, you have a great attitude. The lovely colours of the foliage on the trees are making me happy today! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI appreciate a glimpse into your world and all you experience, because it's made me more aware of what this is all about! The sunshine makes me happy today - along with the extra hour of sleep since our clocks went back last night.
ReplyDeleteThank you again for sharing. You are a blessing to me even though we have never met in person.
ReplyDeleteWhat making me smile today is seeing pictures of several friends new babies.
Keeping you in my prayers daily. There is no need to pray a condition away - simply accept it and learn to live with it. It makes you who you are; not something to be ashamed of. Hugs.

We are all struggling and there is no shame whatsoever in having a chronic condition and making the choices that is best for you. How can anyone judge you? We don't travel in your shoes. Know that there are a lot of wonderful readers out there who care for you. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteSunshine made me smile today.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is hard to figure out what we should share and what to keep for ourselves.
We learn about this, and other stuff, for as long as we live. Take care.
I've found your posts inspirational, Regine. I hope sharing helps with coping with your condition. Happy Sunday! :)
ReplyDeleteI think opening up is always a good way to go. Not all people are good at handling it, maybe they will inadvertently hurt you when you are open. But you have to live with that. Other people can deal with it and understand you better, respond better to you, give you support and strength.

I have so much admiration for you and any and all others that have disabilities that make life even more challenging than they are for most of us.
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing you days of energy, happiness and sunshine.

ReplyDeleteThank you for being you. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. It makes us more vulnerable, but, sometimes, it is helpful to others as well as for ourselves.
ReplyDeleteWhat's making me smile today is a new piece of furniture my daughter assembled and set up for me! It has made all the difference in one corner of the room that was so messy and an eyesore!
Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe grandchildren made me smile today when they were describing a wonderful walk in the woods they had enjoyed in the Autumn sunshine.
Enjoy the rest of your day and my good wishes for the new week ahead.
All the best Jan

You are very brave and I appreciate your honesty. These days are not easy but take step by step and things should be better.
ReplyDeleteSending you healing vibes. Thank you for sharing and being honest. God bless.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week!
ReplyDeleteThere is something that edges close to impossibility when we think about being vulnerable, but if we can allow ourselves to do that, we open ourselves to great love.
ReplyDeleteThank you for daring to be vulnerable and sharing with us. It helps us dare to do the same.
Que o Grande Espírito te proteja !!
ReplyDeleteAbraço solidário.
I hadn't had a chance to catch up with your blog before. It must have taken a lot of courage for your to share your truth.. thank you for trusting us with it. And while all comments and all people are not always nice it is nonetheless very brave of you.
ReplyDeleteNice
ReplyDeletekiss
I truly appreciate your openness and honesty, Regine. We all have "something," some things more limiting or challenging than others. But unless we know what they are, how they affect a person, we will all remain unaware and ignorant. Thank you for the enlightenment.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for you.
ReplyDeleteKisses!

How brave you are to share some of your struggles, it gives your poems a new perspective. You must do the thing that is right for you.We spend everyday learning a little bit more about ourselves. I smiled when I saw the sun come up on my early morning walk xx
ReplyDeleteTake sometime for yourself. You are incredibly brave and watching you here make everything more joyful for those who visit. I think you are courageous, smart, filled with love and kindness and you need some time to simply rest. We will all be here for you and please take care.
