Sweet Regine, (my friend the queen) When I was child in mts. of NC (near Cashiers and HIghlands) my sister and I would often walk home after dark (for various reasons) It was so dark you could not see each other unless a car came along shining their lights. I was terrified of the dark even with my big sister, so I would quote Psalm 56.3 silently to myself, over and over all the way home "What time I am afraid I will trust in thee." Fear can be good, it is fear that keeps the average person from touching a hot stove or playing with a copperhead. And God just as he saw that 6 year old who feared the dark, still understand and sees when I'm afraid now. There is no condemnation from God when His children struggle. (Rom 8.1) Love to you my friend...thanks for sharing. You make me think and at my age that's a good, good thing!
One of my favourite scriptures is 1 Jn 4 :18 - about perfect love casting out fear, and as God's love is perfect, we can rest in that and not fear. (I have yet to perfect that!) Love your honesty Regine Blessings Maxine
Have a blessed week without fear, Regine. ♥

ReplyDeleteAmen! I love that.
ReplyDeleteYour words remind me of a quote I once read about fear knocking on the door, but when faith went to answer it, no one was there. :D
ReplyDeleteDearest Regine,
ReplyDeleteFear is never our friend and it affects our well being in a negative way.
May God sustain you and give you strength!
Hugs,
Mariette
