Had a doctor’s appointment yesterday.
Here’s what I learned
I need the hard truth.
I need the facts
Answers will come when I need them
CP is static. That’s great. I can’t reverse the damage it did. It did damage. The amount, I will never know. I really don’t want to know. When the doc said, at least you can walk. He’s right. Walking is a privilege. I may tire easily, but that’s okay. I just want to be grateful for what I can do. I compared myself against a world I can’t identify with.
Acceptance comes when you don’t know it will.
Love yourself and one another.
Good advice. And always look for the positives and the small things we can be grateful for in our everyday lives. Have a great day, Regine! :D
ReplyDeleteAcceptance is key
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself. This week I have three doctor's appointments. It's tiresome...
ReplyDeleteYou inspire. Take care. Hugs from Texas.
ReplyDeleteSo often, we are not grateful for the things we can do and focus on what we can't. Keep it positive!
ReplyDeleteYou're grateful and that's the very best way to look at ones life.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day and week, Regine. ♥
Thank you for sharing your doctor's appointment experience. It sounds like you had some important realizations and reflections during your visit. Wishing you continued strength and resilience on your journey of self-acceptance and gratitude. www.melodyjacob.com
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to hear that you are grateful to be walking with a condition that has been so hard on you. Take care, dear friend. Have I told you lately that you are wonderful?

Walking is a great gift - you will still have adventures and joy and I still don't discount miracles in any one's case. "Behold, I make All Things New." Stand in readiness and yield with faith to what is being made new. One thing that you also have besides your ability to walk and enjoy life is your incredible talent for writing. That's a gift you give to the world.
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to give you the grace and peace of mind to know that He is walking beside you, and carrying you when you can't go another step. And may He give you JOY in knowing you are His beloved child, now and forever. Amen.
ReplyDeleteThank you for these words Regine - you are an inspiration. I too like definite answers, but... they are not always available

Take care. Stay well. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteEvery breath is a blessing, a gift. Walking is one of the blessings of my day. My hearing is going but my eyes are still good. My brain is active but my memory is not the best. Thank the Lord for being there at all times.
