Mystery

 God,

Thank you

For the blessings

I don’t see

Or know

Are blessings

In that moment

Until much later

It’s in an

Iced latte

Purchased

With a gift card

A hug 

I wasn’t expecting 

And a conversation 

That made me smile

Joy is in

The ordinary

Where nothing

Is guaranteed

But surprises

Yield a benefit

That isn’t quantifiable 

Enjoy the journey

It can be

Beautiful

In its

Own mystery
