 I’m slowly learning

How to live again

It’s frightening

Yet exhilarating

I’m getting brave

Again

The realization

Came after

An early morning

Plunge into

A cool pool

I’m living again

In honor

Of every Ukrainian

Fighting for

That right

I pray everyday

Sending hope

And peace

Your way

❤️

Thank you Lord

For giving me peace

As I write

It is a privilege

Don’t oppress

Or ostracize

When the world

Sees your countenance

Will it greet

You with

A grateful smile

Yellow and blue

 Yellow and blue

The color

Of hope

Against

All odds

My heart

Only grows

Fonder for

You all

With each day
