Memory

My vacation was one I will never forget. It amazes me that last week I was on Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. The location was pure fairy tale even when life isn’t. I kept telling myself to be pinched. I couldn’t believe this was my reality. I’ve come back with plenty of seashells and sand in my purse that I don’t want to clean out. I’ve eaten more lobster in every form.  Every bite left me to imagine if my fantasy matched the reality. As I took in God’s creation, my breath got caught, my eyes amazed. The teal and turquoise waters crashing against golden sand will be etched forevermore. With each step, I fell in love with the Creator who exceeds my expectation, and says look. My soul rejoiced when my mind could not. I will say that on vacation, anxiety, still visited me. I needed to feel that ocean air, soft sand, massage those seashells to realign. Different locations teach different lessons, but they all come back with the same message. God is everywhere and in everything.

  2. So glad you had a wonderful trip, Regine. I love lobster, especially dipped in butter. The seashells you brought back are a keepsake, and it's always nice to dangle our toes in sand from time to time. Such beautiful words about God - He is everywhere and in everything.

Have a really good week, dear friend.

  12. What a lovely post! God's beauty is definitely manifested in nature and in the kindness and empathy of people we meet. I visited Martha's Vineyard years ago and also fell in love with it! The ferry ride to and from Woods Hole, MA, was also enchanting.

  23. Praise God for your wonderful vacation! It sounds so wonderful, Regine! You've described it so beautifully I felt like I was there with you. Yes, Our Creator is always with us, everywhere present. I'm so glad He spent time with you there at His ocean. Perhaps He carried you on the sand and left His footprints while He carried you...Just a beautiful thought.

Your blog icon was on my desktop along with many others and one day they all disappeared and I never put any of them back, until today...You are back my friend where I can click daily. I am blessed when you use words to Praise your creator, my creator, the lover of our souls!
