Rise

This is a summer of stillness. I’m having to be quiet. God is well aware of my desires. Trust me. I’m in the season that make you insane or send you running into the arms of the Father. I’m remembering that my way leads to pain, lessons and an inward I told you so. If I’m feeling redundant in my posts, it’s because it’s true. I need to relearn the same things day in and day out. It feels good to just breathe in, and inhale an air of gratitude. I’m having to be grateful in the small things. I overcomplicate simplicity. Overthinking is a day job, mine.   The truth is like a prickly thorn, pinching in those spots we try to hide.

  1. Reaffirming your intentions is a good way to keep reminding yourself of what you're trying to accomplish. You've got this!

  2. Your intentions of stopping overthinking and to breathe in an air of gratitude are mine also. Sometimes recently I do square breathing, which is breathe in for a count of 4, breathe out for a count of 4, and hold for a count of 4.

  7. Yes, I spend too much time at night when I should be sleeping overthinking about things over which I have no control. I try to give them all to God, but then I tend to grab them back again. He must get tired of us doing that, but He is ever patient and kind and full of grace and mercy. He knows our frame, and He still loves us anyway. Don't be so hard on yourself. God understands everything about you...after all, He created you and loves you very very much.

  8. I tend to be a reluctant fire walker. I wind up in mental situations that most would pass over but I hash over until I tire enough to actually give it up to the Lord. Great post.

    Hugs and Blessings,

  9. Yes, humans do tend to overthink, it is a flaw we all live with.

  10. I think we all need to relearn things. I know I hand things to God and then find myself worrying again!

  13. We all need to find and embrace peace in our lives, but it's not always easy to do! One day at a time. Just breathe.

  14. I understand about feeling the same things day in and day out, I have dwelt in times like that but with God have over come it.
