I was asked in the comments what is making me happy.
Reading the Bible slowly. No Bible in a year. If you can great. It was making me anxious, and I gave up. Communion with God should not be anxiety producing.
Savoring food. I used to eat for just fuel. I never enjoyed it except on vacation. Food is an experience.
Finding the good in people. I spent an hour in CVS yesterday having the pharmacist find a gummy vitamin without certain allergens among other helpful employees.
Getting my steps in. Movement helps me physically, but the benefits to my mental health is awesome.
Finding my inner child. Who knew buying more pens and classic legos could bring a smile. Thirty dollars well spent. I don’t know if a Chanel purse could do that right now.
Your prayers and love for me lift me so high. Thank you for honoring me with your time and support. I will never be able to repay the blessing it is to be loved by you.
Love yourself and one another.
Thank you! Your post is better than the Bible. I am catholic but I prefer a good christian post than a historic story sometimes good only after a lot of efforts to find a good interpretation!
ReplyDeleteThose are all good - good for all of us!
ReplyDeleteAnd it goes without saying that we all love you, Regine. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteVery good
ReplyDeletei like to read what makes you happy. It's the simple things that finally do it, the older one gets. pens always make me happy.
ReplyDeleteLove hearing these wonderful things. Makes me appreciate life more. A Chanel bag might make you feel as good. Lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post. I try to get my steps in for mental health too. Wishing you a day filled with joy.
ReplyDeleteLove reading your post, it's uplifting and positive. Have a wonderful evening.
ReplyDeleteAgree about the Bible reading in a year. I'm glad that I did it in one way because now I've read through the Bible twice. But... I'm glad to not be reading it through this year. I've been reading it slowly and not worrying about reading a certain amount each day mainly to literally check a box. Exercise is excellent for my mental health. I'm glad you're finding your inner child and having lots of good moments :).
ReplyDeleteAll good tips! I'm so glad that they are working for you. More walking has been a change for good in my life as well.
