hi

I try to keep this light and airy here most days, but let me tell you I’m being tested. Finished OT and PT to fix some body parts, and now I may have to fix more body parts. Is this the joy of getting older?  The thought of maybe having to fix more is exhausting, frustrating, humbling and scary. I had to have a friend remind me that I do the hard and unsavory things every day, and I will do it again.

Onto a brighter note, it is Friday, it’s brisk outside, and maybe I’ll see another butterfly on my walk today.

How are you all?

  1. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I'm glad you have a friend who encourages you. Our weather has been crazy here and it's really messing with my rheumatoid arthritis which has been my hard thing lately...
I hope you see a butterfly today!

  2. I have certainly found that getting older has been one thing after another going south for me. I see people older than me doing so much better and wonder what I am doing wrong. But I try to tell myself that it could be worse, I have to look at what I can do not what has become harder now. Hope you can start looking up and see that butterfly again :)

  5. Therapy can be tough and tiring but the payoff will be worth it in the end. You can do this! Survived another week. Unfortunately I'm still in this country though. Highlight of the week was a sweet encounter with my current favorite actor.

  6. That is good that your friend is an encourager for you. Those friends are precious. I think you can and will do your needed PT to great results.

  8. sorry you are struggling right now, or perhaps always. perhaps strength does not reside in having never been broken, but in the courage required to grow strong in the broken places. hold on...

  9. Getting older isn't fun, and sometimes life is difficult, but our Lord is always here for us.

  10. We had our whole family together (19) for the first and only time this year probably. Tiring but so good for the heartstrings. After they left, PT, and slow afternoon. Back to reading your blog and routine. Hope all is well now. Hugs.

  13. I so hear you (and I thank you for your very kind comment on my recent post, which reflects some of the same things). So, I send big hugs and good wishes. I know you've got this, even if it doesn't seem like it right now.
