What a compliment can do

I have to thank CharlotteHavs for this!  She left me the sweetest compliment when she commented on a post the other day.  Sometimes a kind word can make all the difference.  It was just what my spirit needed, and God Himself knew it.  If I say it a million times, I thank God for your kindness and encouragement.  Just trying to be a blessing.
Have a blessed day!

  14. Probably 25 years ago, I was leaving church on Sunday morning and the ushers were handing out the usual Sunday reader. When I got home, I read it, and my life was changed forever. It was just a few quick sentences, the gist of it was - we have the power every day to make someone's life better just by noticing them. As a teacher, I made it my mission to do just that. "nice haircut", "did you get new shoes", "what did you do over the weekend". Obviously many of my statements went much deeper. I retired just 4 days ago and am still reading the letters from the students. Without a doubt, the most common note from the students was "you were the teacher who really cared". And some of those notes are from students I did not have and knew them just by my "good morning, nice backpack'.

Like you, I try to spread good thoughts in my comments.

I hope your day is sunny and bright.
