The what if

Disabled
The pill
I swallow
Every day
The questions
That leave me
Sleepless
In a sweat
Worrying
What
The future holds

  1. Dearest Regine, I can't even imagine what you are going through. But remember the old hymn "Because He Lives". It's such a beautiful hymn and if you are unfamiliar with it, you can find it on YouTube.
    Praying for you dear one!

  5. Just trust the One who knows the future. He's never let me down. I do hope you feel better if you are struggling with a cold too; not good when that happens.

  12. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. It's my pleasure to return the favor.

It's sometimes difficult not to worry about what the future holds, but all we can count on for sure is the present. I've learned to make the best of today and let the future take care of itself. As our pastor used to say, "Let go, and let God."

  13. I understand worrying about the future so deeply. I try to let go and most of the time can. But it can be hard.

  16. I have found worrying doesn't help or solve anything. Put those thoughts in a soap bubble and watch them pop. Don't borrow trouble.

  17. Dearest R's Rue,
Oh, those questions never end... and taking meds all have their side affects too. When I was paralyzed and had to be on Prednisone for more than 2 years, it sure ruined my kidneys. They only function now for 29% so I'm in stage IV, next will be the stage for dialysis. But we ALL can look forward to a better life after this and meanwhile savor every single day that comes our way!
One more night in a warm bed, a roof over our head and food on the table. So many people don't even have that in this life...
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

  21. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
Praying you can find peace and less worry in your life.

  22. Being positive isn't always an option but do keep trying for the farther we descend into the abyss the harder it is to find our way back to happiness and hope 💮

  32. We don't know what the future holds. Just take one day at a time and enjoy the present and the people around you. Place your future in the hands of the Lord because we have no control over the future.
