Warning

I've hit it
I will not see
People unmasked
Check that privilege
At the door
I have needles
Put straight
Into my abdomen
To minimize my
Pain
So I'm
Not a thorn
In your side
And all
I ask is
For six feet
And a face covering
I wonder if therapy
Is just so
I can learn
To filter
Not
Crash and burn

  1. Good words. Some people forget too quickly and don't have enough respect for this virus. Take care of yourself, hugs, Valerie

  2. If only people understood that we are not asking a lot.. they don't need to sacrifice their lives. It's just a little inconvenience in the grand scheme of things..
    Take care, stay well.

  4. I am so sorry you have to go through that.
I think Governor Cuomo said it best when he said, "I'm not infringing on your rights by asking you to wear a mask. You are infringing on mine when you don't wear one." Or words to that effect.

  5. Yes, it is not fun and some people seem to think 'space' is theirs and no one else needs it ~ I get tired of having to move when people don't do the distance thing ~ and mask ~

    Well said ~

  6. I have loved ones who probably wouldn't survive COVID-19 so they wear a mask and so do I whenever we go somewhere.

  11. I hear you... loud and clear!! I know others can be so inconsiderate (I'm being polite here) and I struggle with that too.
    Stay safe

  15. Sometimes I think six feet is still too close. I often wonder why it's so hard for people to distance themselves.

  16. I'm sorry people are so inconsiderate and selfish. I am in a high risk group, myself, so, in order to give space to others, I keep myself restricted to my home.

  17. amen sister. 6 feet is too close in wind even. Everyone can wear a mask, and if those people want stores open for economy, it's going to backfire as no smart person wants to risk them, plus their stinkin guns. We do not have the right to threaten other citizens with a gun...

  18. I am with you, what does it hurt for someone to wear a mask in the store.
