Clarity
Comes
When my will
Ceases
To supersede
Reason
And my desire
To be right
Wins and losses
Are to measured
In the amount
Of peace
That has been
Poured into
The vessel
Known as
The heart
Understanding
That joy
Is a precious commodity
To be savored and treasured
I love the part about joy being a precious commodity. Just lovely!

ReplyDeleteI read this post last night and was reminded of a verse and I looked it up online and then got distracted and didn't get back last night. The verse is 2 Cor. 4.7 "We have this treasure that the excellency of power (or surpassing power) may be from God not from us. Thanks for writing such beautiful poetry that leads many to worship!
