I was reminded

Of how much I’ve faced

I don’t know

If I’ve forgotten

Or just let it go

I’m getting used

To being in the

Valley of the unknown

I don’t know

If I’m tired

Of fighting

Myself or others

I’m having to be stripped

Of the trappings

Of my wants

I’m lain bare

To the only eyes

Who see my heart

For where it is

In need of repair
