Thoughts

Checking my Facebook feed or watching CNN has me resigned, upset and frustrated, so I will try to limit my use of these.
I often wonder what George Washington would think if he were alive.  Jesus too.
I am starting to read books again.
What are you reading?
It's been one month post surgery.  Getting there physically and mentally.
That first workout on the treadmill will be rough, but I need to do it.
Scars bring pain, but they bring progress as well.
In life pain is a given.
I can't wish it away.
The more I do, the more pain I experience.
I'm stubborn.  I question everything.
I accept that I have trouble with acceptance.
I accept that Mom is usually right.  Usually.
This Political Science major wasn't cut out for politics.
Nice people get swallowed whole by politics.
I don't need to be in politics to be of service.
I wanted to change the world
I still can
Just not in the way I wanted.
I wanted to escape who I was
No matter my resistance, where God is, there I will to be.
God Bless ya'll,
R

  1. I don't blame you. It's so hard to be able to make a real difference when we KNOW that all we can manage is to slow the decline. Doesn't help when the body limits you as well.

Change the world the best way. Through prayer. It only takes a few of us together to make a difference.

  2. Ugh so with you on the politics. George Washington and Jesus would be appalled.

  3. There are a lot of ways to make a difference in the world. I hope your pain subsides soon, Regine. Do not like to see people suffer.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  4. How lovely to have you drop in at LAWN TEA! I hope you'll visit again---I don't blog every day, but would be glad to have you peek in.

I'm reading the fourth of the LONGMIRE books---an honorable man, working against lots of odds (and odd, flawed people) to do his best to help the GOOD FOLKS persevere. Our whole family enjoys the TV show, as well---don't we all need a hero?
