Trying to get gratitude back at the center
But I’m alive
Renew my heart
And change my
Gratitude is beautiful.
We all have a reset now and then. Sounds like today is yours!
I lifted this and saved it for moments when it applies to my life. Thought I would share it with you today.A minister had asked a local farmer to say the prayer before a church group met."Lord, I hate buttermilk", the farmer began. The visiting pastor opened one eye to glance at the farmer and wondered where this was going. The farmer loudly proclaimed, "Lord, I hate lard." Now the pastor was growing concerned. Without missing a beat, the farmer continued, "And Lord, you know I don't much care for raw white flour". The pastor once again opened an eye to glance around the room and saw that he wasn't the only one to feel uncomfortable. Then the farmer added, "But Lord, when you mix them all together and bake them, I do love warm fresh biscuits. So Lord, when things come up that we don't like, when life gets hard, when we don't understand what you're saying to us, help us to just relax and wait until you are done mixing. It will probably be even better than biscuits. Amen."
Some days are better than others. Keep up the good work.Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
That's something we all must do too.Blessings and have a wonderful new week.
It helps to count our daily blessings, doesn't it? I try to list at least 5 things I'm grateful for, every day. :)
I try to count my blessings everyday...some days it's easier to do than others. Keep the faith...
Praying for you as you are struggling with things - the Lord knows it all and loves, regardless of how difficult we find things and how messy our responses are - thankfully.BlessingsMaxine
