PT lessons
The past will reappear. It’s worked a number on my psyche. It’s brought out the mental blocks. If you don't address your past, it will come back. And mentally my brain and I are doing battle. This has been exhausting. I’m learning that strength training is not for the weak. My body experienced fully puddled sweat. I’ve never taken cold showers. I did this morning. My ankles and feet are weak. My PT almost heard me shout expletives today. I almost shouting them now. Epsom salt baths are my friend now. Love you all
Stay strong!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! The results will be worth it. I hated it strength training at first too but it has great benefits that go beyond gaining muscle like becoming less prone to injury and quicker recovery.
ReplyDeleteDearest Regine,
ReplyDeleteWell after my fractures, cuts and bruises heal the PT will be another thing for strengthening my ankle, legs and knees...
Never easy—but we must endure!
Hugs,
Mariette
After my serious heart surgery, (not by-passes) I had to come back and it was so slow I didn't think I would make it, but I did. I know you will too.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
ReplyDeleteEven the past moment is ancient history ~ let it go ~

ReplyDeletePT is hard work! But, the benefits are many. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI've done PT a few times after knee surgery's and I remember the exhaustion and the puddles of sweat. It is so hard!
ReplyDeletePT is hard work, BUT it will be worth it!! And, yes, we do have to deal with our pasts, forgive what needs to be forgiven, and do our best to move past it. Sending virtual hugs!

ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better since you wrote this post, Regine. I took a shower this morning, and no hot water. Pilot light is out, and electric co. coming today to re-set it. Say a prayer for me please. It's not always easy living in the mountains; beautiful, but not always easy. : )
