Rest

 PT lessons

I’m learning to rest

I’m learning my body

I’m loving my body

I’m not cursing what my body can’t do, but amazed at what it can do

In almost forty years, I’m learning and cherishing. What a gift.

  1. Those are great lessons and I think most people never learn them. I need to work on those same things.

  3. Dearest Regine,
That is exactly what I need to do REST in order to fully recover from being T–boned by a woman in a car while I was riding my bike. Bruises, cuts and two leg fractures later (both legs!) I need to wait for my orthopedic surgeon to look at my right shoulder MRI to see if there are any rotator cuff injuries... that is on March 22.
But I'm alive and grateful for always wearing my helmet!
Today is day 11 and no painkillers used due to my CKD stage 4. Only Medrol Dosepak for reducing the swelling... which gave me a nasty rash and itch.
Lost weight and am only 104 pounds.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  7. That is a gift indeed, to learn to love one's own body...the gift that God gave you. Rest is also a gift of God. I am so thankful He thought of it!! I hope you have blessed and beautiful weekend.
