Hard

So many
Years of
Misery
All I
Could see
Was
What I
Didn't have
Could I
Erase
The pain
I have
To embrace
What I
Can't stand
To be
A human
That can
Say that
Without hardship
I would
Not worship

  2. And yet, I promise you I'd do without the hardship and worship still.

  12. Curiously I hadn't really thought of worship or prayer in this way. Let's hope if that if things do improve you could go to a quiet place (like a church) and be quietly thankful for the improvement.

  13. Your worship and love of God shows through these powerful words Regina. So often it is the hard things of life that eventually draw us closer to God.

  16. I can relate...

I can believe in, and worship, a God who allows things to go wrong as the result of human actions (no, NOT necessarily those of the person harmed).

I don't want to believe in, and certainly will never worship, a God who is either stupid or sadistic enough to imagine that *I* learn more from suffering than from guidance or simple observation.

I knew better ways than that to teach children things when I was 12 years old. I think the Creator of the Universe has to be as intelligent as a 12-year-old.

Some people repeat words that make them feel better without thinking what they're saying about their "God."
