Mountain

This weekend I went on more hikes than I have in a very long time. I learned some lessons. God’s world will make you feel small, and I didn’t mind it. I had to push through mental blocks and physical exhaustion. It’s been a long time since I’ve showered in sweat. When I completed these tests, I felt like I conquered the world. In a way I did. My body held and so did my spirit. No small feat. I had to take small steps. I was forced to stop thinking and just move. This weekend proved that I’m more than able.

  1. I love hike and you described how it feels perfectly, some of the hikes are very challenging and the sense of accomplishment is amazing, and the beauty of nature makes you feel so close to God.

  4. I'm so glad you got to take a hike in the mountains. They will do everything you said. I am surrounded by them and take in all the beauty, but I must get out there like you did and walk and walk.

  5. Sounds like it was a good weekend all around, I think we sometimes limit ourselves or what we think we can do, so refreshing when we just go for it!

  9. Go calmly, little by little and be careful with intramuscular lactose pain. In Spanish it is called "agujetas".

  11. I used to belong to a walking group and always found it to be one of the few activities that really made me feel free. For the few hours that we were out in the country just concentrating on the walk was heaven x

  13. In a way your words could be a proof that the limits are somehow more in our heads, than in our bodies.
