Vacation thoughts

 Some notes from time off

As you age you will no longer apologize for who you are

Your peace is paramount

You will realize you control nothing

You will find the best and worst of humanity in the same day

You will still question your worth when it gets shattered. It will get shattered. People may mean well, but execution is lacking.

I will have to remind myself that Lord they know what they do mentality

Poor in net worth, Rich in spirit. Reconciling this dichotomy now.

  1. I love your phrase, "people may mean well, but execution is lacking." We have to do better, right? More caring, more helping, more loving.

Have a wonderful July week, dear Regine.

  3. 'As you age you will no longer apologize for who you are.' That is so true. And you're right, we need to be kind, and more considerate of others. That would change the world!

  4. we control our spirit and happiness. and we can control how we treat others. if you give kindness, most times, you will receive it back!!

  5. All in all, I do hope your vacation time had some moments of peace and rest, regardless of other people. And if not, then I pray that you are getting the much needed rest now that you are safe at home again. Sometimes being home is the best vacation.

  6. I have to agree with Pamela - sometimes being at home IS the best vacation! Relax and roll with the punches, Regine.

  7. Don't you wish we learned these dozens of years ago?

  9. To show God's love with gentleness, and to respect the other person by asking what they need, not assuming we know what is best for them, is so important.
And yes, as we age, we do not apologise for who we are!
    Blessings
    Maxine

  10. These are such powerful thoughts. I especially liked the one about finding the best and worst of humanity in the same day. It always seems to be that way, doesn't it?
