Jesus and coffee
I need them both
A shot of energy
Forgiveness and fortitude
To live in a world
That confounds this mind
Yet leaves it mystified
At the same time
Grant me
The wisdom
To be an instrument
Of Your peace
And lean
Not on
My own understand
But a faith
That says
Why not
Anyway
...faith is important.
ReplyDeleteI need them both too.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day and week, Regine. ♥
Could definitely use the energy today! xo, Biana
ReplyDeleteEach new day is a bright, new miracle.
ReplyDeleteI am not a coffee drinker but I understand the leaning on God part. Yes sometimes it is hard to understand others thinking on things, only with God can we be at peace with everyone
ReplyDeleteFaith - yes! God's presence in my life is something I treasure so much.
ReplyDeleteNot coffee, though - I prefer tea!
Beautiful words, have a great week! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteGod and coffee . . . What could be a better combination?
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Regine!
What would we do, how could we survive without our faith? Jesus is my rock in this crazy, broken world.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
yes, faith can help us. Sometimes we need all the help we can get...coffee, praying...whatever helps.
ReplyDeleteI Like it, especially the coffee!!

ReplyDeleteEvery Moment Holy has a Ritual for Morning Coffee. A copy of it is hanging on my kitchen wall.
ReplyDeleteThose first lines really made me smile! :D

ReplyDeleteOh how I need Jesus to strengthen my faith. Starting a new Bible/book study called Becoming a Titus 2 Woman by Martha Peace. Should be a good one!
ReplyDeleteI smiled when you said Jesus and coffee because I'm looking at a plaque in my house that says, with Jesus
ReplyDeletein her heart and coffee in her cup.
Have a wonderful week, Regine.

Yep, we all need forgiveness and fortitude in these days!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, sounds so good. You inspire in more ways than one. I started a painting today after being up early with coffee on the porch.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ru, for visiting my blog yesterday. I appreciate what you wrote for today. I would trade out the coffee--for a pepsi, but everything is spot on!
ReplyDeleteCoffee and Jesus - always a great start to the day - but Jesus lasts the distance.
ReplyDeleteStay safe
Blessings
Maxine
