Contentment

 I’m realizing

That you can’t rush

It happens

When it does

I can’t force

I can only control

My attitude

I’m being equipped

And as much

As I desire

To return

To old habits

Comfort

Is not longer

The aim

If I seek

True contentment

  1. Dearest Regine,
Yes, we're being pushed ahead—towards our final destination so it's far better to maintain a content soul.
Cherishing certain moments do lift us up as we travel the often difficult and painful final stretch.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  2. Wise words to guide us through the day. I recall a book I read decades ago titled You Can't Push the River, which makes sense in a related way.

  4. Waiting can be hard though, don't you think? At least, it's hard for me some times.

  6. Contentment is one of the best gifts one can have! To be content with what we have, with where we are in life, with ourselves.
