Running
To the restaurant
As we got caught
In the downpour
Refreshing to
The soul
The storms
Teach me more
Than sunshine
Ever could
Learning to relish
Seek the joy
Going to
This new doctor
And seeing patients
In true need
Of relief
Yet being
So happy
Was a sucker punch
And a lesson
Of how
To live
With discomfort
Gracefully
That sounds like us today; dodging raindrops on our way to lunch!

After a rain, sometimes there comes a rainbow. I hope you are finding beauty and relief from discomfort today, as you dodge those raindrops. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLearning from the storms isn't always easy. And I love that idea of learning to live with discomfort gracefully. So much to think about. :D
ReplyDeletesilver lining...no flowers without the rain!!
ReplyDeleteI love this. Living happy is such a good thing -- not always easy but always good. On another note, can you send me an address and I'll send something related to Michigan! jeanie@wkar.org
ReplyDeleteLearning to live gracefully is a gift from God!
ReplyDeleteI really like this.
ReplyDeleteI have a niece who had to have many, many surgeries as a child. My sister and BIL spent time in ICU's and specialty hospitals and she said whenever she was feeling bad about things she could look around and there were always people with worse problems. Perspective does help but it's still not easy sometimes!
ReplyDeletePS - I got your comment about your project.
Can you email me your address so I can send something?
My email is bobmarib@hotmail.com
You remind me of something I read about learning to dance in the rain (rather than waiting for the rain to end). :)
ReplyDeleteLearning how to live with discomfort gracefully. Amazing words. I saw you comment on my blog about sending a postcard. Please DM me on Instagram and let me know what other thing I can possibly send you. Thanks!
