Lord,
You never said growth would be easy. You never said acceptance would be easy. You never said joy would be easy. Not of it is. Acceptance is a daily process. A daily practice. I’m grateful for a lot in this life, but I’m just acknowledging the reality I face everyday. And it’s a great reality most days, but some days I just need a little more grace. I know there is a reason for everything, it’s just hard to swallow sometimes. So right now, I’m grateful that I can be real, real honest and say that the highlight of my day is to wake up chat with God, friends, write and exercise to alleviate what ails me. I don’t need sympathy. I just need to get it out. I used to put my sorrows in the mason jar, but it didn’t serve me. I used to bottle it up waiting for it to detonate. I don’t have that luxury.
Working on self takes time. I’m doing the work, but sometimes we hit the triggers that bring up hard truths. Hiding from them doesn’t serve me. So, I’m not hiding them. If the world serves perfection on a platter, I’m running the other way. Don’t lie. Even the richest man has issues, they just have nicer toys to play with.
So right now, I’m going to curl up with a good book, and get lost in a story, while thinking of my own to tell.
Love you
Your story is a beautiful story, because it is YOUR story, the story God has given you to share with us. Your gift of sharing your story with us is a blessing to many. Thank you for not stuffing your feelings in a jar and bottling them up. You really don't know how many you may be helping by being the real you out here with us. Thank you for being courageous.
ReplyDeleteI pray your blog is a safe place for you to tell your story. I appreciate you being real. You inspire me to do the same.
ReplyDeleteYOU are a gift from God. He has a story to tell of your life, through you. I appreciate you being real and honest with us. Social media has a way of making us think other peoples lives are perfect, because that's what they show us. But NONE of us are perfect and have a perfect life. Satan makes sure of that and we also make our own mistakes sometimes. That doesn't change how friends, real friends, feel about you, about me. Thanks for being honest.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Keep inspiring. Stay well. God Bless.

Here & now is the most important!
ReplyDeleteYour words inspire. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless always.
ReplyDeleteGod uses the broken to help heal the broken. We often tell ourselves untruths. Someday you will see the tapestry of your life that God is weaving in absolute perfect love of you, from the other side and I believe you will rejoice and sing His praises. As for the rich, their toys distract them, but always being distracted isn't real living! Enjoy your books and find people who make you laugh and value you like all of your friends here. Love, Kathy
