Good books- not sure your favorite genre but some of my favorite authors are Anthony Horowitz (mystery); Daphne Du Maurier (not contemporary just well written novels- start with Rebecca (her best)); Lisa Genova (contemporary); Donna Tartt (she hasn't had a new book in years but The Secret History is good); Elizabeth Strout; Ann Patchett (I loved The Dutch House); John MacArthur (Christian pastor now deceased who wrote many books). Start with those, lol!! Make chili and snuggle under a blanket with the fireplace on. Same warm and safe!!
