suggestions?

Getting ready for the winter storm. Please pray. Trying to stay calm and prepared.

Any good books or magazine articles?

Favorite meals to make?

Any tips or tricks of the trade?

Love you all

  1. Good books- not sure your favorite genre but some of my favorite authors are Anthony Horowitz (mystery); Daphne Du Maurier (not contemporary just well written novels- start with Rebecca (her best)); Lisa Genova (contemporary); Donna Tartt (she hasn't had a new book in years but The Secret History is good); Elizabeth Strout; Ann Patchett (I loved The Dutch House); John MacArthur (Christian pastor now deceased who wrote many books). Start with those, lol!!
Make chili and snuggle under a blanket with the fireplace on. Same warm and safe!!

  2. We've been hunkered down since Sunday. Had a brief reprieve yesterday and went out to get groceries, but more is coming along with that cold. Soup and chili is on the menu, Bob is working on a puzzle and I'm working on online scrapbooking.
Hope all goes well in your area.

  3. I pray that your home will be snug and warm and a safe haven from the winter storm. Definitely have some good books to read, and a pot of something delicious to eat...soups, stews, chili, whatever you like most. Praying it will not be too terrible where you are and that you will just be able to enjoy the view and stay warm.
