I'm almost done with a book that a young friend at my church lent to me. I've really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to being able to share my thoughts on it with her!
I am anxious about an upcoming doctor appt but hopeful for good news. I just read The Book of Peach (discarded library book). Getting eggs from my chickens during this extreme cold snap makes me smile. Any destination trip is an adventure for me. The last thing I did that made me joyful was trying a new healthy recipe (sounds odd, but I am happy when I can find a healthy new recipe for good health).
What’s on your heart? Missing my children so much over the holidays that it hurt. What is making you smile? I went to see the movie Wicked with my friend Rebekah. It was my first time in a movie theater since before the pandemic and the movie was wonderful. What is your last book read? Part One of Cher's memoir. I enjoyed it so much and eagerly await part two. Favorite travel destination? Don't have one. I no longer travel. So I guess I'll say Costco because I like to shop there. What is the last you did that made you joyful? I was afraid the overhead light in my bedroom had lost its connection because it flickered on and off for a few days and then went off completely. Rebekah helped me change the bulbs in it and it works now! I always thought the globe for the light was brown, but it just looked that way because the bulbs were old and dirty. With new, clean bulbs, now I know the globe is white with gray flecks. I'm filled with joy every time I go in my bedroom and turn on the light!
My cats are making me smile! I am reading The Secret Daughter by Anne Gracie, a historical romance and enjoying it. I love France and the Pacific Northwest! Doing puzzles makes me joyful! What about you, Regine? What are your answers to these questions?
I didn't like the last book I read but I'm reading The Women now and liking that. Keeping cozy and warm is giving me joy. Italy has been my favorite destination.
